Temporary Protocol Changes

UPDATED April 2, 2020

With the ongoing concern about COVID-19, we are implementing some temporary protocol changes to protect you and our team members. Please read this carefully as it may affect your upcoming visit to Belton Veterinary Clinic.

PATIENT VISITS

We are modifying our protocol again due to Bell County now being at Stage 3.

  • Please drive to the back of the building no matter what you are coming in for. We will get your pet checked in and ask you to pull around to the front and park. We will call you to let you know when it is your time to bring your pet to the front door.
  • You will now be asked to wait in your car during your pet's visit and we will be doing all communication via telephone.
  • If you are bringing a large animal in a trailer please pull back to the barn and pull ALL THE WAY behind the barn and a team member will come to check you in.

Please remember that this is difficult for everyone. I also want to remind everyone that yelling at us about protocol changes will not make this go away any faster. We are in this together.

Until further notice, the following changes will be implemented:

  • Saturdays are temporarily for urgent cases. If your pet needs vaccines, heartworm tests, etc. please come in Mon-Fri until further notice.
  • Sunday we will NOT have any pick-up hours until further notice.
  • We will NOT be doing baths or toenail trims until further notice.

PATIENT PICK UP/DROP OFF, MEDICATION PICK UP, FOOD PICK UP

  • If you need a prescription refill you MUST CALL IN ADVANCE for approval/denial. We will not be filling prescriptions on a walk-in basis temporarily.
  • Please pull to the back of the building where we will have a drive through line. A team member will get your information and find out if you are picking up or dropping off.
  • You will then be asked to wait in parking spots labeled 1-3.
  • A team member will assist you from there.
  • All boarding pick up and drop off will be done at the back of the building.

And finally, if you have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days we kindly ask that you do not visit the clinic for 2 weeks. If you are feeling ill or have a fever we also ask that you refrain from visiting for 2 weeks.

As always, practice social distancing and wash hands frequently.

Thank you for your continued patronage during this time.

Sincerely, The Belton Veterinary Clinic Team
