Dr. Katie Frosch

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Frosch grew up in Houston, TX. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduating from Texas A&M she went on to complete a one-year internship and Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Weatherford, TX.

Dr. Frosch joined the BVC team in 2009 and became an owner in 2012. She has an interest in small animal surgery and equine medicine, especially lameness and reproduction. 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and their 2 children. Dr. Frosch has 4 horses and 3 dogs.

Dr. Vaughn Fish

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Fish was born and raised in Northeastern Arizona. Growing up with horses sparked his interest in veterinary medicine. Dr. Fish worked several different jobs before finally deciding to go to veterinary school. He worked in the shipping industry, trained horses, and farmed cotton for a large agricultural corporation. Dr. Fish attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate degree and went on to get his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2017 (go Cougs!). He loves many aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in small animal surgery and large animal reproduction.

In his spare time, Dr. Fish enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife and son. He has one dog, a rambunctious German Shorthair Pointer named Jules.

Dr. Matthew Wright

Veterinarian

Dr. Wright grew up in Castroville, TX. He graduated from Tarleton and went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2006. After graduation, he joined a mixed animal practice in Muleshoe, TX. He joined Belton Veterinary Clinic in 2008 and became an owner in 2012.

Dr. Wright has an interest in food animal surgery and medicine, especially working with youth livestock.

Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with his wife Jacki, daughter Ella, and his two dogs and watching college football.

Dr. Natalie Lord

Veterinarian

Dr. Lord grew up in Austin, TX, and Spain and is fluent in Spanish.

Before vet school, she worked as an assistant at a busy, equine referral and surgery hospital. Dr. Lord received her Bachelor’s Degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX and completed her Veterinary Degree at Ross University in 2017.

Dr. Lord has an interest for large animal medicine and surgery, reproduction and small animal medicine. She also developed a passion for helping working horses around the world through the Equitarian Initiative.

In her spare time, Dr. Lord loves to spend time with her husband and riding her Azteca mare in Dressage and Working Equitation.

Dr. David Joffrion

Veterinarian

Dr. Joffrion is originally from Houston, TX. He received his Bachelor's degree in 2011 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, both from Texas A&M University.

He loves many aspects of veterinary medicine but especially enjoys emergency medicine and surgery.

Dr. Moon is a native to the area from Little-River Academy, Tx. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2018, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and shortly afterward joined Belton Veterinary Clinic. He has an interest in food animal medicine, food animal surgery, and small animal internal medicine. He is an active member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Moon managing a commercial cattle operation, roping and spending time with his wife and son. He has two Australian Shepherds, Gus and Ruby.

Danielle Couture

Dr. Danielle Couture

Veterinarian

Dr. Couture was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2018 after having completed her clinical year of vet school at Cornell. Following vet school, she then completed a one year rotating equine internship at Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery in Weatherford, TX.  Dr. Couture joined the BVC team in 2019. She has an interest in equine and small animal medicine.

In her spare time, she enjoys horse back riding. She has one horse, an off the track Thoroughbred named Holly, who is a competitive show jumper and one dog, an American Eskimo mix named Bandit.

Dr. Kay MacKinnon

Veterinarian

Dr. Kay MacKinnon graduated from Kansas State University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Biological Sciences with a Minor in Animal Science. Afterwards, she received her DVM from Kansas State University in 2019. While she was born and raised in Kansas she decided to move down to Texas for warmer winters! 

Dr. Mac worked in Gonzales, Texas at a mixed practice prior to joining the team at Belton Veterinary Clinic in 2020.  She enjoys working with all creatures great and small, and has a special interest in small and large animal surgery.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Mac enjoys doing yoga, SCUBA diving, riding her horse when she's home, and spending time with her dogs, Koda and Kiara.

Dr. Alexa Turner

Veterinarian

Dr. Turner is originally from Pennsylvania. She completed her undergrad at Virginia Tech, where she worked at the sheep and cattle barns as well as rehabilitated and retrained rescue horses. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2020 and shortly afterwards joined Belton Veterinary Clinic. She has an interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine, and particularly enjoys internal medicine, emergency medicine, and working with large animals.

In her free time, she likes to travel, read paranormal fiction, cook new dishes, offshore fishing, and spending time with her horse, Sonya, and her 2 dogs, Anubis and Eevee.

Dr. Cassidy Hand

Veterinarian

Dr. Cassidy Hand grew up in rural NW Montana where her passion for veterinary medicine started. From chickens to horses, she loves them all. She gained her Bachelor’s of Animal Science from Montana State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. Her veterinary interests include equine lameness, bovine reproduction, and small animal surgery. Belton Veterinary Clinic is her Purrrfect match and she can’t wait to be a part of the community.

On her days off, you will find Dr. Hand horsing around outside with her yellow lab; hunting, fly fishing, hiking, and adventuring.
